Cap space

The GMs are obliged to keep an eye on the Salary Cap at all times. In the event that a franchise is above the Salary Cap, due to a trade for example, this violation is to be corrected immediately by e.g. waiving or releasing a player.

If a franchise is below the salary floor, the EHM will automatically charge a percentage of the difference per week (follows via ingame mail). If the franchise is located under the salary floor two simulations in a row, the league management will correct this at its own discretion - e.g .: a player exchange between the NHL and AHL team or signing a free agent.

Salary Cap and Salary Floor apply according to the currently used database.

If a GM exceeds the Salary Cap by more than 5%, no further cap-increasing trades are permitted for security reasons. In this case, current trades will be blocked. This lock expires as soon as the franchise falls below the Salary Cap.

In the event of incorrect calculations by the EHM (e.g. two-way contracts in the preseason), we ask you to inform us accordingly.
